Members can stay better connected with private messaging. To message another member:
Search or scroll for the member in the People list.
Tap the speech bubble icon alongside their name.
Type a message and hit Send.
Click the photo icon to upload an image.
Blocking members.
Members have the power to block other members when they are experiencing inappropriate online behaviour.
To block a user:
Open the chat thread.
Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
Select ‘Manage’.
Select ‘Block’.
Opt in or out of messaging.
Members, including staff, can opt in or out of being displayed in the in-app user list (by default all primary users are visible and all staff users are hidden).
Admin users can manage this via the Users section of Community Manager.
Select ‘Users’ from the left side menu.
Select the user you wish to manage.
At the bottom of screen click on the ‘Visibility’ tab.
Turn on or off the visibility.
Click Save at the bottom right of screen.
Users can also manage this setting in their profile section of the app.
Phone calls.
When first logging into the app, all users are asked for their consent to include their mobile number in the people messaging / call list. Those that have supplied consent, will feature a phone icon alongside their name in the people list. Members can click the icon to activate a phone call to this user.
This permission can be managed in the user’s profile section of the app.
